About CEO/Owner, Bonnie Harris Frey
Bonnie is 3rd generation owner of Harris Jeweler and is dedicated to continuing the legacy of the Harris family including offering above and beyond service and quality.
Her Harris Jeweler journey dates all the way back to 1997, initially taking on the task of shredding job envelopes (at the age of 12). By 2001, her keen eye and passion for the jewelry industry earned her a promotion to glass and jewelry cleaner. In 2007, Bonnie transitioned to a full-time role, and her journey at Harris has only continued to shine since (this time as an adult!).
After graduating from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Bonnie dove straight into the jewelry world, bringing her knowledge and enthusiasm to Harris.
Favorite Parts of the Role: Bonnie thrives on making our clients happy and cherishes hearing heartwarming stories about her customers' families and traditions, especially from those who have shopped with us for generations. For Bonnie, the emotional connection in the jewelry industry is what makes every day meaningful. She loves curating the very best selection for our clients and creating the vision for what’s next at Harris Jewelers. Bonnie can't imagine doing anything else!
Outside of Work: When Bonnie’s not at Harris, you can likely find her attending her children’s sporting events or enjoying a rare date night with her husband. She always jokes that if it weren't for her family, she’d set up a cot in the back of the store because she loves her work so much!
Special Skills & Certifications: Bonnie holds the esteemed Graduate Gemologist certification from the GIA and is also a Certified Gemologist Appraiser (CGA) from the American Gem Society (AGS). She is the only CGA within the greater Dayton area, making her a standout expert in the field.
