Harris Jeweler carries Vahan in Troy, Ohio.

Vahan is a family owned American jewelry house, and the design that made it recognizable came directly out of the family's Armenian heritage. The beaded Moorish edge that borders nearly every piece is drawn from ornamental patterns the founder grew up around, translated into metal and then repeated with enough discipline that a Vahan piece can be identified across a room. Very few designers hold a signature that specific for that long.

The other founding decision was combining sterling silver with 14K gold at a time when mixing metals was considered a compromise rather than a style. That combination is now the brand's entire identity, and it is the reason the collection sits at a price point that invites collecting rather than a single purchase.

Because the bangles, cuffs, rings, and earrings are designed to stack and mix, customers typically start with one bangle and add over years to mark anniversaries and birthdays. The stack becomes a record.
